Planning an Event
The following document aims to align folks on the considerations when planning an evening.
Goals
- Limit total speaker time to around an hour. This can be split across one or multiple speakers. We run on Thursday evenings, so while we want to share as much as possible, attendees have limited capacity for broadcast-format content after a working day.
- Leave space between sessions for conversation, networking, and drinks refills.
Talk Formats
We support two formats — see the Speaking page for full details:
- Standard talk: 20–40 minutes, including Q&A.
- Ignite/Pecha Kucha: 5 minutes, 20 slides auto-advancing every 15–20 seconds.
An evening typically combines one or two standard talks, optionally preceded or followed by a short Ignite slot.
Suggested Schedule
| Time | Slot |

| 19:30 | Welcome & housekeeping (5 min) |
